Savane plays for Senegal
Former Navy standout Sitapha Savane was amember of the Senegal team in the FIBA World Championships in Japan.

A member of the league's All-Decade team, Savane was an All-Rookie pick as a sophomore in 1998, and a two-time All-Patriot League first teamer. At the world champoionships, Savane averaged 8.6 points and 3.6 rebounds for 0-5 Senegal, which finished last in Group D.
